Ira Woodrow Decker of Garden City, Missouri was born September 14, 1917 in Licking, Missouri the son of Alfred and Iva May (Thompson) Decker. He departed this life August 29, 2010 at Golden Years Health Care Center, Harrisonville, MO at the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 15 days.
On January 13, 1961, Ira was united in marriage to Caroline (Heins) Felton.
Ira was a farmer and stockman. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors. Ira was a World War II Veteran. He had lived in Lone Jack, Missouri before moving to Garden City in 1964.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline on August 27, 1992; three brothers, Clarence, Virgil, and Leonard and a sister, Emma Katherine.
Ira is survived by a daughter, Nancy McClain and husband Michael, Garden City, Missouri; two step-sons, Arthur Felton and wife Judy, Sibley, Missouri, Edward Felton, Creighton, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Janet Felton, Garden City, Missouri, 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ensworth and husband Junior, and Betty McCain and a brother Percy Decker and wife Virginia all of Lee?s Summit, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
