J.L. Morris

J. L. Morris of Peculiar, Missouri was born July 27, 1929 in Carthage, Missouri the son of Russell Hagler and Naomi Elizabeth (Ross) Morris. He departed this life on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 11 days.
On December 28, 1950 J.L. was united in marriage to Darlene Francis Catron in Creighton, Missouri.
J. L. was employed as a machinist for Bendix in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He had lived South of Creighton, Missouri before moving to Peculiar in 1965.
Besides his parents, J.L. was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene on February 6, 2004; a daughter, Deborah Lynne Gravitt; a grandson, Chad Allen Keating; a sister, Imogene Morris and a brother Keith Morris.
J.L. is survived by a brother Kevin Morris, Creighton, Missouri; a sister, Colleen Branum, Raytown, Missouri; nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

Private family services are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice.
