Jackie Gene "Jack" Reeder, of Archie, Missouri was born July 28, 1927 in Nowata, Oklahoma the son of Stanley Ozmond and Anna Ester (Angle) Reeder. He departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 22 days.
On November 12, 1944, Jack was united in marriage to Lois Ann Stanart in Sedalia, Missouri.
Jack was employed as a supervisor for the Kansas City Union Station for 25 years and owned and operated Jack's Snack Bar in Fairway, Kansas. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Archie and the Swope Park Masonic Lodge #617 A.F. and A.M., Kansas City, Missouri. Jack enjoyed bowling, fishing, performing magic tricks, oil painting, and going to the farm.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Reeder on September 18, 2014; a daughter, Sondra Jean Zuber on August 12, 2007; two brothers and 4 sisters.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack Reeder, Archie, Missouri; two daughters, Joyce King and husband Richard, Olathe, Kansas, Sharon Elliott and husband Robert, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri with a Military service.
