Jackie Lee Fuller of Osceola, Missouri was born October 18, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of James Allen and Juanita Katherine (Engle) Fuller. He departed this life Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Sac-Osage Hospital, Osceola at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 11 days.
Jackie was employed as a boat loader in the shipping and receiving department at Tracker Boats, Clinton, Missouri until his retirement in 2007. Earlier he had been employed at the General Motors Leed’s Plant and Pitman Manufacturing, Grandview, Missouri. Jackie was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war serving on the USS Blackfin Submarine and had been a member of the Index Lodge #54 A.F. & A.M., Garden City, Missouri. He loved to be outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or mushroom hunting and enjoyed going to the boats. Jackie was a graduate of the Garden City High School and had lived in Garden City area most of his life before moving to Harrisonville and then to Osceola in 1986.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Bobby and Daniel Fuller.
Jackie is survived by his companion, Phyllis Richey of the home; a son, Jerry Ray Fuller and wife Amy, Harrisonville, Missouri; three daughters, Mary Ellen Bryant and husband Rick, Donna Morris and husband Russell and Kathy Hopkins and husband, Rusty all of Creighton, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Kenneth Fuller, Garden City, Missouri; two sisters, Floeva Saddoris, Bolivar, Missouri, Carol A. McCoy, Belton, Missouri; Phyllis's daughter, Alice Trager and husband Cliff, Parkville, Missouri and their three children; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Lodge, Kansas City, Missouri.
