Mrs. Jacqueline ?Jackie? Hiltebrand of Peculiar, Missouri was born July 29, 1917 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Freeman J. and Emma (Summers) Jeffress. She died on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Crown Care Center surrounded by her family at the age of 93 years.
On December 6, 1936, Jackie was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Hiltebrand in Kansas City, Missouri
Jackie was a seamstress for Katie?s Alterations in Kansas City before her retirement. She earlier was employed at Rosewin Coat & Suit, Maurice Coat & Suit and Nat Nast Bowling Shirt Co. all in Kansas City. Jackie was baptized as one of Jehovah?s Witnesses in 1948 and was a member of the Peculiar Congregation. Jackie enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, gardening, flowers and the outdoors. She had lived in Kansas City before moving to Peculiar in 2007.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth on June 6, 1976; a brother, Freeman Jeffress and two sisters, Helen Taylor and June Wheelock.
Jackie is survived by two daughters, Martha J. Morris and husband, Charles, Peculiar, Missouri, and Alice M. Helton, Fountain Hills, Arizona; four grandchildren, Michael D. Morris, John P. Morris and wife Silvia, Timothy R. Morris and wife Michele, and Aaron H. Helton; three great-grandchildren, Dalton, Jaxon and Niko; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Osage City Cemetery, Osage City, Kansas.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage City, Kansas.
