James Edwin Rhea, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born June 21, 1946 in Alpena, Michigan the son of Walter Adam and Vida Lois (Trager) Rhea. He departed this life on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Liberty Health and Wellness, Liberty, Missouri at the age of 71 years and 1 month.
On June 21, 1971, James was united in marriage to Linda Kaye Wolfe in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
James was employed in the warehouse at IBT, Shawnee, Kansas for 40 years. He enjoyed trains, going to different Train Depos in towns where he visited and was big in family genealogy.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Rhea and a sister, Lois Rhea.
James is survived by Linda K. Rhea of the home; a son, James Adam Rhea, State of Arkansas; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the McMurry United Methodist Church, 25 N. Eugene Field Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64119.
Graveside services were held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Dutch Chapel Cemetery in Lynchburg, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Ascend Hospice in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
