James 'Jim' George

James Wayne George, 76 of Garden City, Missouri was born April 15, 1941 in Garland, to Lela L. George and Floyd E. George.
He and his family attended the Baptist Church, Garden City where he grew very close to the Lord.
He and Karla married in March 11, 1969. They have one daughter, Kristy Burns. She and her husband live in Oak Grove, Missouri.
Jimmy served in the Army for two years. He worked for Missouri Public Service for 24 years and was a member of IBEW 53 for 19 years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
He and Karla had three grandchildren, John and Aerian Burns and Shelby George and a great-grandson, Carson Butshe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lela George.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Karla; daughter, Kristy and husband, John and Aerian, Shelby and Carson; sister, Shirley Church; brother, Robert George and his wife, Betty; two nephews, Gary Church and Jeff George; great -nephews and nieces.
He went to be with the Lord at his home in Garden City on May 4, 2017.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
