Jana Gail Cotton of Garden City, Missouri was born January 4, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Lowell Daniel and Joyce Levonne (VanKirk) Mullins. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center, Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 17 days.
On August 1, 1970, Jana was united in marriage to Ralph Edward Cotton in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Jana was a florist and owned and operated Northeast Flower Shop in Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Missouri and was an avid prayer warrior. She loved to scrapbook, make cards and crochet gifts for her loved ones. Jana was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and adored all her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Burchett on September 21, 2011. Jana is survived by her husband, Ralph Cotton of the home; a son, Ralph "Eddy" Cotton II and wife Michele, Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Jamie Larcom, Harrisonville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Olson and Karen Wright; her step-dad, Andy Moffet; two step-brothers, Brian Moffet and Todd Moffett; three step-sisters, Janet Manson, Joyce Bryan and Joann Laborde; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Jana Cotton Memorial fund.
