Janie Doll of Garden City, Missouri was born June 16, 1945 in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Walter Leonard Doll and Ruby Irene Woirhaye. She departed her life, Sunday, September 28, 2009 at home at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Janie graduated from Ballard High School in 1963. She continued her education at Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, Missouri. While attending college, she met her future husband Kenneth L. Kuntz, who was stationed at the Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Missouri. On June 5, 1965 Janie and Kenneth L. Kuntz were united in marriage. To this union two daughters were born, Toni Lynn and Christy Jane.
The family lived in Lee?s Summit, Missouri, before moving to Urich, Missouri, where Janie worked with the Sherwood School District as a teacher?s aid. She was employed with J.C. Penney?s in the men?s clothing department in Clinton, Missouri. Janie began employment in July, 1992 at Peterson Manufacturing Company, Grandview, Missouri, and was active until her death.
Janie led a very active life with her family. She spent much of her time with her grandchildren, watching them in a variety of sporting events and activities. She enjoyed going to the Cass County Library and loved reading, working in her garden, and crafts. She loved fishing, which was something she carried on from early in her childhood.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Leonard ?Cap? Doll on December 20, 2000, and her mother, Ruby Irene on August 5, 1979.
She is survived by her two daughters; Toni Conner and husband, Kelly, Blairstown, Missouri, and Christy Fuller and husband, Sam, Urich, Missouri, and five grandchildren, Loren, Trevor, Taylor, Bailey and Samuel Drake. She also leaves behind one sister, Ann Harness and two nieces, Tammy, and her husband Jerome, and Laurie, as well as four great-nieces and nephews; Jennifer, Joshua, Angeles, and Austin and one uncle, Hobert Worihaye, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial at the Mullin Cemetery near Urich, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
