Jennie C. Bowman

Jennie Cordelia Bowman, 88 of Pleasant Hill was born February 4, 1927 in Independence Missouri. She was the daughter of William H. and Eunice V. (Whitehead) Yadon. She departed life Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.
Jennie was a 1944 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.
On July 7, 1945 she was united in marriage to George E. Bowman in Harrisonville. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2010. Jennie was also preceded in death by one granddaughter Leslie Buckingham-Denslow and one son-in-law Chris Ford.
Jennie was a member of Grace Family Fellowship Church in Pleasant Hill. She enjoyed getting “out and about” but treasured her family above all.
She is survived by two sons, Glen Bowman and his wife Cindy of Raymore and Mike Bowman and his wife Karen of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Teri Melvin and her husband Jon and Rhonda Ford, both of Pleasant Hill; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 28, 2015 at the funeral home. Reverend Wyatt Shanks will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Family Fellowship and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
