"VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE"
Jerry Allen Noland, Garden City, Missouri was born July 18, 1961 in Harrisonville, Missouri the son of Robert Dean and Charlene Rae (McGuire) Noland. He departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 49 years, 8 months and 3 days.
On June 12, 1982, Jerry was united in marriage to Vonda Sue Atherton in Garden City, Missouri.
Jerry was employed as a laborer for the Laborer’s Union Local 264, Kansas City, Missouri. Jerry grew up in East Lynne, Missouri and was a 1979 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Jerry was never without friends. No matter what he was doing he was the one having the most fun. From playing slow pitch softball, or finding a pool table to play on, to hunting which seemed like there was a season for something all year long! And the last few years found and enjoyed the league and tournament play of pitching horseshoes. Over the time of his life he raised English setters for the love of quail hunting and coached T-ball through competitive softball for his daughter. He always had a special place in his heart for little kids since he was a big kid himself! He enjoyed the small town country lifestyle and made sure that his wife, Vonda, and daughter, Kara, always felt loved and protected.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Noland.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda Noland; his daughter, Kara Noland both of the home; two brothers, Ray Noland, Clinton, Missouri, Mike Noland, Peculiar, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
