Jimmie Lane Kegerries of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 17, 1938 in Butler, Missouri the son of Raymond and Stella Mae (Keen) Kegerries. He departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home near Harrisonville surrounded by love and family at the age of 77 years and 8 months.
On January 23, 1960 Jimmie was united in marriage to Birdie Jean LaHue in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jimmie was employed as an assembler for General Motors Leeds Plant, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Jimmie had lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 1973.
Besides his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his brother, Travis.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Birdie J. Kegerries of the home; his son, Jimmie Lane Kegerries Jr., Harrisonville, Missouri; his daughter, Roxanne West and husband, Tom, Garden City, Missouri; a grandson, Aaron West and wife, Melissa; three great-grandchildren, Amber, Ashlee and Austin; two brothers, R.B. Kegerries, Carl Junction, Missouri, Wayne Kegerries, El Dorado Springs, Missouri; two sisters, Marietta White and Louise Hafner both of Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation was held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
