January 2, 1934 — May 15, 2014

Joann Ruth Famuliner, 80, of Garden City, MO, peacefully entered heaven on May 15, 2014.
Joann was born in Windsor, MO to the late James and Kathryn Wooster on January 2, 1934. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1951 and married Robert Famuliner in 1955. Impressively, she was a 46-year cancer survivor. Joann was a homemaker and worked as a librarian, enjoying many social and civic activities including church events, Red Hat Society, bunco, and hosting neighborhood bonfires and fish frys. Joann was very proud of her heritage. She and Robert lived on a Missouri Century Farm, registered to the Famuliner family for over 100 years. They worked very hard to compile an extensive family genealogy spanning over 8 generations. Joann and Robert also enjoyed travelling extensively throughout the continental United States, Canada, and Alaska.
Joann loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Famuliner and three sisters, Vivian Morris, Kate Bauder, and Gertrude Goslin. She is survived by her husband, Robert Famuliner of Garden City; daughter, Linda Famuliner of Blue Springs; two sons, Richard Famuliner of Blue Springs and John Famuliner of Pleasant Valley; two sisters, Mary Robinson and Connie Fox; five grandchildren, Ryan, Dorian, Amber, Shannon, and Jake Famuliner; and one great-granddaughter, Ranger Famuliner.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Latour, Missouri.
