Jody Lynn Gray, 54, of Kingsville, was born, April 22, 1966, in Olathe, Kansas. She departed this life, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Life Care Center of Grandview.
She was a 1984 Lone Jack High School graduate.
Jody was a professional Barrel racer and loved working with horses. She was a member of the Golden Circle Horse Show Circuit.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jessica Ann Spears; her step-father, Alvie Partain; and her half-brother Logan Gray.
She is survived by her father and step-mother Darrell and Susan Gray of Pleasant Hill; her mother Billie (Underwood) Partain of Kingsville; other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Underwood Cemetery, Lone Jack. Reverend Bob Niles will officiate. Casket bearers are Wade Lingo, Phildoug Myers, Jim Redwine, Randy Redwine, David Rice, and Bob Shaffer.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Golden Circle Horse Show Circuit may be sent in care of the funeral home.
