Joshua Eugene Anderson, 29, of Adrian, MO was born January 10,1985 in Clinton, MO to Gerald and Ramona (Leavell) Anderson. He departed this life Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO the result of a tragic workplace accident.
Josh grew up in the Archie and Adrian area, and graduated from Adrian High School in 2003. After high school he went to work at US Truss/Heartland Manufacturing in Peculiar MO where he was currently employed. On January 28, 2006 Josh married Melissa Ann (Hill) Anderson, of Adrian, and to this union two beautiful girls Marissa and MaKayla were born. Josh was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to hunt and fish any chance he got. At the first sign of Spring if Josh was not with his wife and daughters, you could most definitely find him on the river bank. He absolutely loved to go snagging and running lines with his dad Gerald, his brother Kenneth, and a few other close family and friends. If the fishing rod wasn't in his hands, it was only because the guns were. Josh loved to hunt for just about anything that had a season and he enjoyed teaching his daughters to shoot guns and how to love and respect the outdoors as much as he did.
Josh was a hard worker. Never once mumbling a complaint, he devoted his life to providing for his family that he so dearly loved. He enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends and will forever be remembered for his unique sense of humor. He loved to string you along with a dry, coarse affect and then suddenly laugh and say something like, "I'm just kidding with you, and I got you good!" A devoted family man, a loving husband, an amazing and adored daddy, an uncomperable brother, son, and uncle, and a great friend to so many, Josh will be missed immensely by everyone that knew him.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mildred Leavell, Darrell Leavell, and nephew William.
He is survived by his wife Melissa and his daughters Marissa and MaKayla all of the home; parents Gerald and Ramona Anderson, Adrian, MO; brother Kenneth Anderson (Sarah) , Adrian, MO; sister Jennie Anderson, Butler, MO; paternal grandparents Harold and Cara Wilma Anderson, Adrian, MO; mother-in-law Cynthia Baker, Adrian, MO; father-in-law Jack Hill, Atlanta, KS; nieces Kenzley and Destinee, nephews Jaxon, Zackery and Damon; step nieces Jayda and Michaela; step nephew Braedyn, and a multitude of dearly loved family and friends
Funeral Service were held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Adrian Optimist Building in Adrian, Missouri. Cremation with Inurnment in the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
A memorial fund for the Anderson family has been established at the Adrian Bank, Adrian, Missouri.
