Mrs. Juanita Pearl Jones Rackers Cameron of Raymore, Missouri was born May 10, 1928 in Russellville, Missouri the daughter of Ray Emmitt and Erma Mattie (Klindt) Jones. She departed this life Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Belton Research Hospital, Belton, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 19 days.
On July 26, 1947, Juanita was united in marriage to Ralph T. Rackers. Later she was united in marriage to Harold B. Cameron on December 10, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Juanita was employed as a secretary for Armour Memorial Home in Kansas City until her retirement in 1994. Earlier she had been employed with International Shoe Factory, Adcock?s Restaurant, owned and operated Pam and Cindy?s Restaurant all of Jefferson City, Missouri. She was also employed at Sears, Roebuck and Company, Black Angus Restaurant and General Motors Corporation all of Kansas City, Missouri. Juanita was a member of the St. Cathrine?s Catholic Church, Kansas City. She had lived in Kansas City before moving to Raymore in September of 1999.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Harold Cameron on October 20, 2006; a son-in-law, Billy Williams; two brothers, Bill and Hershel Jones and two sisters, Helen Thurman and R. Della Spink.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela K. Zimmerman and husband Wayne, California, Missouri, Cynthia D. Williams, Harrisonville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kim, Kevin, Chad, Stacey and Jay; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Earl Lee Jones, Bonaire, Georgia; a sister, Wilma Jean Righter, Moberly, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at the Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
