Mrs. Judith Ann Koehler, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born January 30, 1945 in Smith Center, Kansas, the daughter of Woodrow Jones and Helen Kathryn (Pratt) Boyett. She departed this life Friday, August 15, 2008, at her home near Harrisonville at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 15 days.
On October 10, 1962, Judith was united in marriage to LeRoy Albert Koehler in Topeka, Kansas.
Judith was a homemaker. She enjoyed scrap booking, gardening, being around children, fishing and photography. Judith?s greatest passion was reading. It was not uncommon for her to read a book in one day and was on a first name basis with the employees at the library. She had moved near Harrisonville in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, David Michael Koehler on January 3, 2008 and an infant daughter, Laura A. Koehler.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Koehler and a son, Scott M. Koehler both of the home; two daughters, Kathy Goul and husband, Roger, Paola, Kansas, Jennifer Koehler, Independence, Missouri; two granddaughters, Ashley Goul and Rayna Villa; her father, Woodrow Boyett, Osawatomie, Kansas; three brothers; two sisters; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Associatin or the American Cancer Society.
