Karen Forsythe Cummins of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 2, 1935 in Creighton, Missouri the daughter of Fred William and Edna Lee (Forsythe) Wehmeyer. She departed this life on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 27 days.
Karen was employed as a secretary for the security cash vault at Bank of America in Kansas City, Missouri before her retirement. She enjoyed her family and attending the Ladies Red Hat functions. Karen had lived in Creighton and Kansas City before moving to Harrisonville in 1997.
Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Wehmeyer.
Karen is survived by a son, Andy Cummins and wife, Rebecca, Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Dellann Sanders of Belton, Missouri, Delynn Ash and husband, Max, Freeman, Missouri; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and with one on the way; two sisters, Greta Schroeder, Harrisonville, Missouri, Sandra Nunn, North Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
An inurnment will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri. Cremation.
