Katherine Lee Schulz

Mrs. Katherine Lee Schulz of Harrisonville, Missouri was born May 22, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Irl R. and Sylvia J. (Riley) Sears. She departed this life on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 26 days. On March 22, 1941, Katherine was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Schulz in Peculiar, Missouri.
Katherine was a homemaker and had grown up in Cleveland, Missouri. She and her husband, Bob owned and operated a farm near Louisburg, Kansas for 20 years until their retirement. Katherine and Bob had moved to Harrisonville in 1976. Katherine was a quiet person who enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and her independence. She was a devoted caretaker to her son, Robert Michael.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob on November 15, 1996, her brother, Karl Sears; sisters, Pearl Camey and Lois Garten.
Katherine is survived by two sons, Robert M. Schulz, Girard, Kansas, Stephen L. Schulz and wife, Linda M., Pittsburg, Kansas; a grandson, Brian P. Schulz, Pittsburg, Kansas; a great-grandson, Reece P. Schulz, Pittsburg, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Kristine Osborn, Annette Barber and Ray Pender.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of one's own choice.
