Katie Ann Kennedy

Mrs. Katie Ann Kennedy of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 27, 1929 in Rockport, Missouri the daughter of Conley Mark and Ellen Slyvina (Slump) Bennington. She departed this life Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 24 days.
On February 21, 1949, Katie was united in marriage to Dallas B. Kennedy in Kansas City, Missouri. Dallas departed this life on January 4, 1994 after 45 years of marriage.
Katie was employed by Marion Laboratories as a Quality Control Technician for 18 years while living in Kansas City. After moving to Harrisonville, she was employed at Wal-Mart and the Harrisonville School System. Katie was an active member of the Abiding Love Baptist Church, Harrisonville.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Gail Kennedy on January 23, 1980; four brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Ingraham, Olathe, Kansas; two sons, Douglas B. Kennedy and wife Debbie Gail, Harrisonville, Missouri, David E. Kennedy and wife Diane, Parker, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Judd, Heath, Jeff, Brea, Phillip, Brett and Paige; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Abiding Love Baptist Church Building Fund.
