Katie E. (Teeter) Nicholson

Katie Elizabeth Nicholson of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 2, 1984 in Cameron, Missouri the daughter of Dannie Mac Teeter and Kimberly Ann (Rainey) Teeter. She departed this life on Thursday, June 8, 2017 surrounded by love and family at the St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 6 days.
On May 22, 2004, Katie was united in marriage to Daryl Ray Nicholson in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Katie was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and was adored by all who knew her. She was a 2003 graduate of the Harrisonville High School and received her Theology Degree from the Faith Bible Institute. Katie was a faithful, committed Christian and was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, was the secretary and served however she could. She was a talented artist and photographer and was passionate about and loved the Kansas State Wildcats, Kansas City Royals and her flip-flops.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Maxine Teeter Fulk and Virgil Lee Teeter.
Katie is survived by her husband, Daryl Nicholson, a son, Dyson Nicholson and a daughter, Khloe Nicholson all of the home; her parents, Dannie Teeter, Harrisonville, Missouri and Kim Teeter, Louisburg, Kansas; two brothers, Billy Teeter and wife Tamara, Harrisonville, Missouri, Brad Teeter and wife Amanda, East Lynne, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Norman and Sharon Rainey, St. Joseph, Missouri; grandpas, Russell Nicholson, Belton, Missouri and Billy Hendry, Fredonia, Kansas; adoring nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral service were held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Nicholson Family Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
