Kevin Louis King of Harrisonville, Missouri was born November 12, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Everett Louis and Charlotte Frances (Groves) King, Jr. He departed this life Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville as a result of a motorcycle accident at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 29 days.
On June 19, 1981, Kevin was united in marriage to Sarah Katherine Raffurty in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Kevin was employed as a transport fabricator for Honeywell FM & T, Kansas City, Missouri since April 12, 1978. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville and the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers, Local 778, Kansas City, Missouri. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Harrisonville High School and had attended Longview Community College, Lee's Summit, Missouri. He enjoyed his family, music, playing his guitar and had played for several local bands, riding his motorcycle, water skiing, fishing and his flowers. He collected antiques, coke memorabilia, gumball and stamp machines. Kevin was a life long resident.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy King; two sons, Eric King, Adam King, a daughter, Heather King all of the home; his parents, Everett and Charlotte King, Harrisonville, Missouri; two sisters, Kathy Goss, Harrisonville, Missouri, Carol Mayfield, Joplin, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Bikers for Babies.
