Kimiko Thompson

Mrs. Kimiko Thompson of Garden City, Missouri was born March 21, 1932 in Fukuoka City, Japan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sueta. She departed this life on Friday, October 15, 2010 at her home near Garden City at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 24 days.
On March 19, 1951, Kimiko was united in marriage to Robert LeRoy Thompson in Fukwoka City, Japan.
Kimiko was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to laugh. Kimiko was instrumental in the startup of Cassco Area Workshop, Harrisonville for people with disabilities to lead a productive life. She had moved near Garden City in 1963.
Besides her parents and step-mother, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Misaho and Ochon.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Thompson Sr. of the home; a son, Robert L. Thompson Jr. and wife, Suki, Garden City, Missouri; a daughter, JoAnn M. Thompson, Harrisonville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Robert Thompson III and wife, Annie, Bonney Lake, Washington, Lottie Thompson and companion, Dave Wisniewski, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kimberly Thompson, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Connie Thompson and fiancé, Jon Roquet, Sedalia, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Zane and Kayla; three brothers, Kochan, Marbo and Yumbo Sueta; three sisters, Nechan, Setchan and Sumko Sueta; a half-sister, Kioko Sueta; other relatives and many friends.
Celebration of Life Services were held Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
