Mrs. Lena Marie Bellamy of Sedalia, Missouri was born February 25, 1919 in Hastin, Missouri the daughter of Albert Lee and Lucy Ora (Breese) Logsdon. She departed in life, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia at the age of 89 years and 20 days.
On July 30, 1942, Lena was united in marriage to Alfred Fred Bellamy in Cole Camp, Missouri.
Lena was a homemaker. She was a member of the East Lynne Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri and was baptized on April 9, 2000. She enjoyed her family, socializing, playing cards, gardening, the outdoors and reading. Lena had lived in Warsaw, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2000 and to Sedalia in 2007.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Al in 1996; four brothers, Edgar, Melvin, Orvel and Arlie; four sisters, Mary, Zella, Sadie and Fay.
She is survived by her son, Fred Bellamy and wife, Marlene, Sedalia, Missouri; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Eva Maxine Gillespie, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Otterville Methodist Church.
