Lila Lee Dreese

Lila Lee (Knox) Dreese of Garden City, Missouri was born May 29, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Edward Leo and Ruth (Robinson) Knox. She departed this life Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 6 days.
In 1958, Lila was united in marriage to Charles Dreese in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lila was employed as an engineer for AT&T in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri. She was a Central High School and Kansas City University graduate. Lila had lived in Independence, Missouri for many years before moving to Garden City to be by her sister, Norma Knox, where she lived for 3 years before moving to Golden Years in Harrisonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles on March 19, 1993 and a sister, Josanne Knox Urben.
Lila is survived by her sister, Norma Jean Knox, Garden City, Missouri; a nephew, Stephan R. Urben, Huntsville, Alabama; a niece, Dennise Cave Lee, Florence, Alabama and a brother-in-law, Walter E. Urben; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
