Lilas Rose Gibson, 84, of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at her home.

She was born November 5, 1934 in Mayview, Missouri to Johnnie and Lorene (Breuer) White. After graduating from Wellington High School in Wellington, Missouri she moved to Independence and lived there the rest of her life before moving to Harrisonville in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard White and James White; her beloved pet Calico Kitty, Patches, who she had for almost 20 years.

Lilas is survived by the loves of her life - her children, Mark Allen Gibson and Twyla Renee Martin both of Independence, Missouri, Sherrie Jan Shaw and husband Kevin and Todd Alden Gibson all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicole, Jonathan, Lucas, Tyler, Toby, Jacob and Cherie; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sarah Edwards, Blue Springs and Carol Ray, Independence; brother, Cameron White, Kansas City; many nieces and nephews; Kitt-Kitt of the home; her true and loyal friends, Reta and Dwain Vaughn.

Cremation. Celebration of Life Gathering was held Thursday, August 22, 2019 with the reading of the obituary at 7 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Integrity Hospice, Kansas City, Missouri.
