Lloyd Gene Jackson of East Lynne, Missouri was born December 7, 1955 in Harrisonville, Missouri the son of John Lloyd and Mary Loraine (Johnson) Jackson. He departed this life on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 17 days.
On October 12, 1974, Lloyd was united in marriage to Kathy Ann Wilson in Harrisonville, Missouri.
For the past 38 years, Lloyd was employed as a machinist Fike Metal Corporation, Blue Springs, Missouri. Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, working on cars, gambling, going to the boats and traveling. He was a 1974 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School, Pleasant Hill, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by a sister, Edith.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Kathy Jackson of the home; a son, Lloyd Elliott Jackson and wife, Jennifer, Garden City, Missouri; a daughter, Leanna Chamberlin and husband, Kevin, Mabelvale, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Kevin, Dristen and Alex; two brothers, Jerry Jackson, Adrian, Missouri, James Leonard Jackson, Warsaw, Missouri; a sister, Dora Vaughn; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
