Lois Stevick

Mrs. Lois Maxine Meyer Stevick was born April 8, 1921 in Harrisonville, Missouri to Samuel Albert Meyer and Effie Norris Meyer. She attended Harrisonville grade and high schools, graduating with the class of 1939. She became the mother of five daughters. Lois's greatest joy in life was her family. She was so proud of her grandchildren and loved to talk about them. Lois enjoyed her church, clubs and her friends. She was happiest when she was doing something for others. Lois loved taking care of and doing for others. She was very dedicated to her husband, Bill M. Stevick, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2002.
Lois was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Zelatai Sunday School Class, President of Auxiliary I Homemakers, the Red Hat Society and the Pioneers Club of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Most of her life she was a homemaker, but retired in 1981 after twenty years at the AT&T Plant in Lee's Summit.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Saylor, Harold Johnson and Bill Stevick; her daughters, Joy Ann Warner and Lois Janell Saylor; her step-son, Jim Stevick; two sisters, Mildred Taylor and Lucille Meyer; two brothers, Sam Meyer Jr. and Albert Earl Meyer.
Lois is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Meyra and Terry Redmon, Shawnee, Kansas, Cheri Ware, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Fran and Jay Keal, Blue Springs, Missouri, Alex Warner, Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Opal Groh, Peculiar, Missouri; three step-children and spouses, Jacque and Tom Flint, Greenwood, Missouri, Ron and Eileen Stevick, Raymore, Missouri, Craig Stevick, Raytown, Missouri; a step-daughter-in-law, Gaye Stevick, Liberty, Missouri; her good and longtime friend, Nina Lee, Harrisonville, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends
