Loretta Filer

Mrs. Serethenee Loretta Filer, of Overland Park, Kansas, was born May 21, 1940 in Earle, Arkansas, the daughter of William Odis and Rosa Lee (Catlett) Sullivan. She departed this life Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her home in Overland Park at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 8 days.
On November 21, 1967, Loretta was united in marriage to Billy R. Filer in Kansas City, Kansas.
Loretta was employed as an accountant for Okura USA, Lenexa, Kansas until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the Harrisonville Mennonite Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Loretta had attended Longview Community College, Lee's Summit, Missouri. She had lived in Harrisonville for 27 years until moving to Lenexa, Kansas and then to Overland Park.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Savannah Grace and Cade Filer.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Filer of the home; four sons, Mark Filer and wife Alicia, Harrisonville, Missouri, Steven Filer and wife Kelly, Spokane Valley, Washington, Bill Filer Jr. and wife Jill, Harrisonville, Missouri, Christopher Filer and wife Kelly, Garden City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wilford O. Sullivan, Lawson, Missouri, Carl Sullivan, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Travis D. Sullivan, Hesperia, California; a sister, Anita Gillispie, Lawson, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the Harrisonville Mennonite Church, 1606 Chapel Drive, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
