Lou Ella Atkinson of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 5, 1937 in Humansville, Missouri the daughter of Tom B. and Bessie L. (Cranmer) Oringderff. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Lou Ella was employed as an office worker until her retirement. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren and taking care of her home. Lou Ella a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society and a 1955 graduate of the Garden City, Missouri High School. She had moved to Harrisonville in 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lou Ella is survived by her two daughters, Holly Christensen and husband, Jan and Lora Gillotte and husband, Mike all of Harrisonville, Missouri; her four grandchildren, Rebecca, Amanda, Tony and Jon; a great-grandson, Ayden; two brothers, Baisel Oringderff, Columbia, Missouri, Tom Oringderff, Norfolk, Nebraska; a sister, Nina Lee, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
