Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Oesch, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 10, 1921 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of George Watson and Mary Irene (Ford) Ketchum. She departed this life Sunday, December 25, 2005 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 15 days.
On, September 22, 1942 Margaret was united in marriage to Ivan Lee Oesch in East Lynne, Missouri.
Margaret was employed as a bookkeeper for RBI Industries in Pleasant Hill, Missouri until her retirement. She was earlier employed at the A.S.C. office and Cass County Memorial Hospital, Harrisonville and later employed at Crescent Cleaners, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She was a member of Strasburg Baptist Church, Strasburg, Missouri; a 50 year member, Past Matron and Past District Deputy Grand Matron of Ivy Leaf Chapter #215, Pleasant Hill. She had lived in East Lynne and Pleasant Hill before moving to Harrisonville in 1999.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan on February 25, 1995 and a brother, Walter.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Nichols, Harrisonville, Missouri; three grandchildren; Jim Nichols and wife, Lisa, Diane M. Bolinger and husband, Scott, Rachael Murray and husband, Kerry; five great-grandchildren; Jessica, Jacob, Austin, Tanner and Zachary; two brothers, Frank Ketchum, Edwards, Missouri; Bob Ketchum, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Strasburg Baptist Church, Strasburg, Missouri with burial in the Clearfork Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Church Memorial Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
