Mrs. Ella Marie Mickelberry of Adrian, Missouri was born November 19, 1912 at Merwin, Missouri, the daughter of Richard Lawson and Rosa Lee (Mace) Drury. She departed this life Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian, Missouri at the age of 94 years, 7 months and 5 days.
On May 8, 1932, Marie was united in marriage to Chester Allen Mickelberry.
Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Archie, Missouri Christian Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, knitting, crocheting, gardening, family and traveling to Arizona in the winter. Marie was a lifelong area resident.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Mickelberry on February 4, 1980; three brothers, Henry, Stanley and Dean Drury; one sister, Bonnie White.
She is survived by one son, Roy A. Mickelberry and wife Evelyn, Urich, Missouri; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren- eleven great-great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; eleven step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Drury and one sister, Velma Murray, both of Archie, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Adrian Manor Nursing Home.
