Marilyn M. Capehart

October 21, 1932 — October 1, 2013

Marilyn, 80, formerly of LaCygne, KS was born October 21, 1932 to Walter and Elizabeth Rose of LaCygne, KS. She was one of two daughters.
On June 4, 1950 Marilyn married the love of her life, William (Bill) Capehart also of LaCygne. They were blessed to spend 63 years of marriage together, raise two daughters and enjoy six wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Marilyn loved so much living on the farm in LaCygne where they spent the majority of their life together. She loved taking care of the outdoors, riding her lawnmower cutting grass, working in her flower garden and spending time outside enjoying their farm. If she wasn’t outdoors, she was cooking something wonderful in the kitchen; there was never a time there was not a hot meal on the table waiting. She took great pride in taking care of her family and making sure everyone left with a full stomach. Marilyn was loving, caring and her daughters and family were her greatest joy. The memories and love shared will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Marilyn was an inspiration of how strong the human spirit can be; she taught us many things in the last few weeks - especially about love, family, compassion and courage. These are gifts that are truly priceless above all things. We were blessed to have this special time.
Marilyn is preceeded in death by her parents Walter and Elizabeth Rose and grandson Corey Richardson.
Surviving her are husband William (Bill) Capehart of Raymore, MO. Sister Margarette Oxford, Irving, TX. Daughter s Marcie Calvin (Larry) of Raymore, MO. and Mindy Hix (John) of Independence, MO. Six amazing grandchildren; Luke (Jen) Calvin, Ballwin, MO., Ashleigh (Nathan) Goddard, Raymore, MO., Kyle (Jessica) Richardson, Austin, TX., John Hix and Abby Hix, Independence, MO. Great grandchildren Cal and Chloe Goddard and Grey and Reese Calvin.
May you dance across the stars forever Mom. We love you.
