Mrs. Marjorie Eleanor McClain of Lee's Summit, Missouri was born April 25, 1925 in Richmond, Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude Chloe (Graybill) McClain. She departed this life, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Saint Joseph Health Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 18 days.
On March 5, 1950, Marjorie was united in marriage to Billy Francis McClain in Hamilton, Missouri.
Marjorie was a homemaker. She had formerly been manager for Copats on the Harrisonville Square for several years and had been employed as a seamstress for the Grace Company, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She was active member of the Village Church, Lee's Summit. Marjorie enjoyed dancing, playing bridge, sewing and taking the grandchildren to hit golf balls. She sang in several choirs and played the drums for several bands at John Knox Village, Lee's Summit. Marjorie had lived in Harrisonville before moving to John Knox in 1996.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on May 23, 1995; two brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sabrina McClain and Billie Bradley and husband, Melvin all of Lee's Summit, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brice, Mackenzie and William; her brother, Jack Pennington, Albuquerque, New Mexico; other relatives and many friends.
