Martha Kathryn Phillips, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born April 3, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Claude Daniel and Dorothy Lenora (Henry) Bousman. She feel asleep in death on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 17 days.
In 1957, Martha was united in marriage to Robert Conrad Phillips in Miami, Oklahoma.
Martha was the receptionist for her husband's office, the Cass County Chiropractic Center, Harrisonville, Missouri until their retirement in 1996. She was a Jehovah's Witness and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Peculiar, Missouri. Martha was a vocalist, an artist, who enjoyed painting with water color and oil paints, she also drew the plans up for the house that she and Bob lived in. She was known as a kind, gentle and gracious person.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Martha is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert C. Phillips of the home; three sons, Gary Phillips and wife Gwen, Tuscon, Arizona, Greg Phillips, Freeman, Missouri, John Phillips, Port Charlotte, Florida; and a daughter, Sabrina Phillips, Aliso Viejo, California; 10 grandchildren, Manasseh, Alicia, Sean, Kelly, Kris, Sadie, Carly, Ashley, Marissa and Zach; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Bousman, Kansas City, Missouri, Charlie Bousman; two sisters, Mary Carr, Escondido, California; Judy Oliver, Kansas City, Missouri; and other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Peculiar Kingdom Hall, 21309 S. Harper, Peculiar, MO 64078.
A reception was held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Youth Building in Harrisonville.
