Mary Isabelle Gregg of Creighton, Missouri was born July 20, 1922 in Garden City, Missouri the daughter of Charles W. and Mary Nona (King) Sexson. She departed this life on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Benchmark Healthcare of Harrisonville at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 10 days.
On April 18, 1946, Mary was united in marriage to Everett Lee Page and later married Ray Gregg on June 1, 1963.
Mary was employed as a seamstress for the Garden City Garment Factory until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the Creighton Christian Church, she enjoyed playing cards and taking trips of the Oats Bus. Her family and grandchildren were very important to her. Around the Creighton Senior Housing she was always called “Mother Mary”. She had lived near Dayton, Missouri before moving to Creighton in 1960.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett on July 30, 1960; her second husband, Ray on July 4, 1989; her eight brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her son, Gary L. Page and wife, Linda, Creighton, Missouri; two step-sons, Gary Gregg and wife, Alison, Overland Park, Kansas, Ronnie Gregg, Creighton, Missouri; a step-daughter, Francis Ann Poe, Edwards, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Creighton Christian Church Memorial Fund.
