Mary M. Boyce

Mary Marie Boyce, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 19, 1926 in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma the daughter of William and Delta Irene (Evans) Allen. She departed this life on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Golden Year Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 85 years and 11 months.
On November 14, 1945, Mary was united in marriage to Charles William Boyce in Olathe, Kansas.
Mary was a homemaker. She was also employed as a baker at the Rosedale High School and several other schools in the Kansas City, Kansas School District. Mary was considered the family organizer and was in charge of organizing all the Allen family reunions and could remember everyone’s birthday. Mary enjoyed walking, Square and Polka Dancing and she and Charles won First Place at the Missouri State Fair for Polka and Waltz Dancing. She loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a great mother and grandmother. Mary had lived in Kansas City, Kansas, Lucas, Missouri, Archie, Missouri and Harrisonville, Missouri.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Boyce on March 22, 2007.
Mary is survived by two sons, Ken Boyce and wife Kathleen, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and Gary Boyce, Kansas City, Kansas; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Allen, Harrisonville, Missouri, Carlos Allen, Lavern, Oklahoma; a sister, Shirley Coakley, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville burial in White Oak Cemetery near Urich, Missouri.
