Mrs. Mary Margaret Myers, of Freeman, Missouri was born November 17, 1923 in Camden, Missouri the daughter of Jesse and Mary Elizabeth (Godley) James. She went to be with her savior and friend Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at her daughter's home surrounded by her children and family at the age of 89 years.
On June 27, 1942, Mary was united in marriage to Elwyn Price Myers in Camden, Missouri.
Mary was a homemaker. She was a solid Christian example with unconditional love for her family and was a prayer warrior for their safety and protection. Mary and Elwyn loved their church family at Freeman Baptist Church and were members for over 50 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn Myers on January 16, 2008 and her brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her children, Kevin Price Myers and wife Marsha, Kansas City, Kansas, James Kent Myers and wife Donna, Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Kimberly Kay Hoffman and husband John, Lake Winnebago, Missouri; six grandchildren, Alissa, Sean, Raleigh, Meredith, Erica and Leah; two great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Bridget; a sister, Gloria Gillette, Kansas City, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Craven Cemetery, Camden, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Freeman Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Freeman, Missouri.
