Mary Katherine Starkman, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born November 1, 1920 in Hettinger, North Dakota the daughter of George and Mary (Zink) Zimmerman. She departed this life Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at her home near Harrisonville at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 7 days.
On October 6, 1947, Mary was united in marriage to Milton Starkman.
Mary was a homemaker. She had lived in Los Angeles, California before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Starkman, June 21, 1970; 18 brother and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Barber and husband Joe, Harrisonville, Missouri, Partricia Roth, Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Raymond Starkman, Culver City, California; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at the Groman Eden Mortuary, Los Angeles, California with burial in the Eden Memorial Park, Los Angeles. Local arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
