Mrs. Mary Louise Young of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 17, 1929 in Springfield, Missouri the daughter of Clem and Esther (Fields) Wade. She departed this life Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 13 days.
On, April 15, 1945 Mary was united in marriage to Bill Vergouven in Olathe, Kansas. She later married Don Young on December 11, 2001 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Mary was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was artistic and enjoyed painting, needlework, crafts and flowers. Mary enjoyed her family, grandchildren and was an inspiration to everyone that she met. She was a wonderful cook. Mary had lived in Kansas City before moving to Freeman, Missouri in 1959 and to Harrisonville in 1983.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill on August 15, 1998; a brother, Bob and a sister, Hildreth.
She is survived by her husband, Don Young of the home; three sons, Bill Vergouven and wife, Carol and Doug Vergouven and wife, Kari all of Harrisonville, Missouri, Tony Vergouven and wife, Dianne, Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Eric, Neil, Dawn, Lauren, Haley, Lane and Brynn; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Wade, Springfield, Missouri, Lester Wade, Lynchburg, Missouri, Don Wade, Lebanon, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice.
