Ms. Merrilyn Ann Ramsdell, of Kearney, Missouri, was born January 7, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Orlan Eugene Rose and the late Hazel Mae (Thomas) Howard. She departed this life Sunday, April 23, 2006, at her home at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 16 days.
Merrilyn was employed as a secretary for Yellow Freight, Overland Park, Kansas until her retirement and earlier had been a secretary for Armco Steel Company, Kansas City, Missouri. In her retirement, she worked at the Truman Corner Antique Mall, Grandview, Missouri. Merrilyn was a collector of antiques, arrowheads, fossils and rocks. She had lived in Creighton and Archie, Missouri before moving to Kearney in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel M. Howard on March 8, 2005.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise A. Marek and husband James; a grandson, Jason; a granddaughter, Rachel and husband Nick; her father, Jack Howard; numerous cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial visitation was held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
