Michael Jerome Hinchcliffe of Freeman, Missouri was born June 17, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Max and Mildred (Russell) Parsons, He departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2009 surrounded by his family at his home in Freeman at the age of 62 years and 2 months.
On October 2, 1976, Mike was united in marriage to Sheila Rae Young in West Line, Missouri.
Mike was employed as a plant equipment assistant for Kansas City Power& Light at the La Cygne Power Plant, La Cygne, Kansas. He was a member of the West Line Christian Church, West Line, Missouri, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Local 412 IBEW, Kansas City. Mike was a lifelong Freeman area resident. He enjoyed his family, spending time with his grandchildren, who affectingly called him PaPa, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and watching racing.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Linda Molina.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Hinchcliffe of the home; three daughters, Tara Driggs and husband, Donald, Sondra Mincks and fiancé, Eric Odell all of Freeman, Missouri, Rhonda Kuntz and husband, Jim, Cleveland, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; his father, Max Parsons, West Line, Missouri; three sisters, Georgia Richardson and Ellen Heimann both of Pleasanton, California, Barbara Gann, Belton, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Glenwild Cemetery, Cleveland, Missouri.
