Ming Chan Tam (Situ), of Belton, Missouri was born April 6, 1911 in Canton, China, daughter of Moy Gong and Duan Tam. She departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home in Belton at the age of 104 years of age.
Ming worked in the family restaurants and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Situ.
Ming is survived by one son, Ruyan Kingsley Situ and wife Eileen, Greenfield Park, Canada; Daughter-in-law Frances Situ, Harrisonville, Missouri; Niece Daisy Fong of Daly City, California; Grandson Edwin Situ, Airdrie, Canada; Granddaughter Florence Situ, Montreal, Canada; Granddaughter Vera Situ, Manitoba, Canada; Granddaughter Gloria Situ-Simon, New Jersey, New Jersey; Granddaughter Lillian Situ-Meyer, Toronto, Canada; Granddaughter Angela Situ-Butler, Burlington, Canada; Grandson Peter Situ, Springfield, Missouri; Granddaughter Stacy Situ, Harrisonville, Missouri; Granddaughter Victoria Situ-Fansler, Belton, Missouri; 8 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice, Harrisonville, Missouri.
