Mrs. Nora Nadine Wade of Garden City, Missouri was born October 14, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Starling Greene and Constance Eleanor (Hopkins) Suggett. She departed this life Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 23 days.
On January 14, 1950, Nadine was united in marriage to Donald Richard Wade in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nadine was employed as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, Kansas City, Missouri, until her retirement. She was a graduate of North High School, Kansas City. Nadine enjoyed being a member of the First Baptist Church and the Index Auxiliary Club, both of Garden City. Cooking, sewing, painting, holiday dinners and enjoying time with Sue and Peggy and her three grandsons were among many highlights of her life. Nadine loved her in-laws as if they were her own brothers and sisters, and her nieces and nephews like her own children. They had lived in Kansas City before moving to Garden City in 1970.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on September 19, 1996; one sister, Amy Lois Slavens.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Sue Stauffer and husband Stephen, Franklin, Indiana and Peggy Lou Wade, Garden City, Missouri; three grandsons, Mitchell, Erich, Scott; three great-grandchildren, Kya, Magdalena, Carmina; one sister, Jean McMillin, Independence, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration Of Life Visitation was held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Garden City Community Building, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
