Nancy Jane Dalton

Nancy Jane Dalton of Garden City, Missouri was born January 25, 1945 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of John Louis and Margaret Alice (Young) Evans. She departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 surrounded by love and family at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 12 days.



On November 6, 1993, Nancy was united in marriage to John Paul Dalton in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Nancy was an in home caretaker for Cass County Community Living, Harrisonville. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church, Grain Valley, Missouri. Nancy loved her family and was very involved with her kids and grandkids. She was a 1963 graduate of Red Oak High School where she was a stellar athlete, voted "Most Athletic" in her senior class and also competed with the summer swim team at Lake Okoboji, Iowa. Nancy enjoyed playing tennis, sailing, making and painting pottery.



She was preceded in death by her parents.



Nancy is survived by her husband, John P. Dalton of the home; 5 children, Toni Griffey and husband Duane, Red Oak, Iowa, Joey Waterman, Columbia, Missouri, Wendy Duysen, Malvern, Iowa, Rob Waterman and wife Virginia, Castle Rock, Colorado, Betsy Todd and husband Hal, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 2 step-children, Angie Thorup and husband Tim, Garden City, Missouri, Chad Dalton and wife Amanda, Kansas City, Missouri; 27 grandchildren; 5 great-grandsons; 3 brothers, Dave Evans, Evergreen, Colorado, E. John Evans, Santa Rosa, California, Tom Evans, Wahoo, Nebraska; other relatives and many friends.



Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation wias held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.



Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis National Research Foundation. Final arrangements entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
