Norma Joan Jones

Norma Joan Jones, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born February 24, 1937 in High Pointe, Missouri the daughter of Silas Glen Sr. and Brooks Ann (Watt) Reichel. She departed this life Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Norma was employed as a Nurse?s Aid at the Golden Hour Nursing Home, New Franklin, Missouri until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed going to the Abiding Love Baptist Church service at the Crown Care Center. Norma loved painting, gardening, crocheting and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had lived in New Franklin before moving to Harrisonville in January of 2007.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Silas Glen Reichel Jr.
She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Diel and husband Curtis, Harrisonville, Missouri, Cynthia DeCosta and husband Richard, Latham, Missouri, Evelyn Faye Newman and husband Robert, Sedalia, Missouri, Angela Bushner and husband Douglas, Harrisburg, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Oletta Jean Turner, Columbia, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services were held Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation with inurnment at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Booneville, Missouri.
