Ollie 'Elizabeth' Osburn

Ollie “Elizabeth” Weddington Osburn departed this life Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the age of 81 following a brief battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 17, 1934 to David Leon and Ruby Lee McClendon Weddington near Harrisonville, Mo., in the Lone Tree community.
Elizabeth’s first husband was Jerry Cary, who died shortly after they wed. She then married William “Bill” F. Osburn. The couple lived all their lives in Harrisonville. Elizabeth helped Bill with his plumbing business, Osburn Plumbing. She was an avid genealogist, and a talented artist who hand-made beautiful French dolls, and stained glass lamps. Her stained glass work was honored in Best of Missouri Hands.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three brothers, Kenneth Weddington, Johnny Weddington and Scott Weddington, and one sister, Barbara Jean Hill.
She is survived by one son, William Dirk Osburn and his wife, Sherry; and one daughter, Leah Diane Osburn Price, and her husband, Greg, all of Harrisonville. She also is survived by three grandchildren, William Martin Osburn, Rachel Suzanne Price, and Adam Ross Price, all of Harrisonville, Mo.; three sisters, JoAnn Bonner, Raymore, Mo., Sandra K. Asher, Clever, Mo., and Holly Anne Weddington, Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Lyle Dean Weddington, Deepwater, Mo.; her companion, Bill Gunn; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Visitation was held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Mo., services followed. Interment is in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, Harrisonville, Missouri.
