Patricia Ames

Patricia Ruth Ames of Edwards, Missouri was born March 17, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Maurice James and Jane Frances (Haynes) Stack. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Chesterfield, Missouri surrounded with love and family at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 23 days.
On April 6, 1968 Patricia was united in marriage Larry Dale Ames in Kansas City, Kansas.
Patricia was employed as an accountant for House of Lloyd in Grandview, Missouri until her retirement in May of 2003. She was of the Catholic faith. Patricia enjoyed traveling, karaoke, boating and anything to do with water. She will be remembered for her loving nature and for being happy all of the time. Patricia had lived in Peculiar, Missouri before moving to Edwards in May of 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Larry D. Ames of home; a son, Brian Ames and wife, Tabitha, Drexel, Missouri; a daughter, Michele Burnworth and husband, Tony, Garden City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jakob and Shelby Burnworth, Cheyenne Ames and Lindsay Johnson; a brother, Jim Stack, Lenexa, Kansas; five sisters, Carolyn Riehle, Mission, Kansas, Jane Arrocha, Shawnee, Kansas, Delia Bates, Kansas City, Missouri, Kathy Laurent and Barbara Milisap both of Tonganoxie, Kansas; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.

Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
