Patricia Ann (Trish) McClintock, 51, of Leeton, Missouri, was born, February 5, 1966, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Archie and Jean (Deterding) Nyen, Jr. She departed this life, Thursday, May 4, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Trish was a 1984 Oak Park High School, Gladstone, Missouri, graduate. She later earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from the Metropolitan Community College.
In 1985 she was united in marriage to Jerry Gene McClintock in Kansas City.
Trish was employed as postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in the Leeton area. Prior her time with the postal service she was an office manager for Kastle Grinding in Lee’s Summit. Growing up Trish was active with the Girl Scouts, later becoming a leader in her group. She was baptized and confirmed at her parent’s church, Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kansas City. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a gifted artist. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and working outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Miranda Rose McClintock, on February 5, 2007; and her father-in-law, William Ray McClintock.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gene McClintock, of Leeton; one son, Jacob William Ray McClintock of Leeton; her parents, Archie & Jean Nyen, Jr. of Gladstone; three uncles, Owen Deterding of York, Nebraska, Roy (and Sandra) Deterding, of Burleson, Texas, and Gary Nyen of Yountville, California; two aunts, Rosa (and Don) Calahan, of Carleton, Nebraska, and Kay (and Stan) Elledge, of Superior, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Rose (and Henry) Langley, of Lee’s Summit; several cousins; other relatives; and friends.
Cremation has been accorded.
Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at the funeral home.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at the funeral home. Reverend Frank G. Frye will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to her son’s education fund and may be made payable to Archie and Jean Nyen. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
