Patricia 'Pat' Stapleton

Patricia "Pat" Joann Stapleton of Creighton, Missouri was born July 2, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Robert Leslie and Helen (Drake) Green. She departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 2 days.
On March 17, 1956, Pat was united in marriage to Robert David Stapleton in Kansas City, Missouri.
Pat was a homemaker and loved caring for her children, grandchildren and any friends in need. She was a member of the Creighton Baptist Church in Creighton, Missouri. Pat was the clerk for Creighton City Hall, served as a City Alderman for Creighton and treasurer for Grant Cemetery.
Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Stapleton on September 1, 1980; two brothers, Bill Johnston and Richard Green and a sister, Barbara Ramey.
Pat is survived by her husband, Bob Stapleton of the home; three daughters, Debbie Journey, Montrose, Missouri, Cheryl Santanen and husband Cliff, Clinton, Missouri, Susie Hastings and husband Eric, Adrian, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Green and wife DeeDee and a sister, Norma McDowell all of Independence, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Creighton Baptist Church, Creighton, Missouri.
